Feeling Good In The Great Outdoors At Verwood House

Keen nature lovers at Verwood House have been braving the damp conditions to watch out for their local wildlife.

The group of residents have set up a nature club to ensure they are doing their best to protect wildlife in its natural environment.

Resident Dorothy said: “It’s very important that we protect the natural habitat and do everything we can to help birds and other wildlife survive the winter.

“It’s been a particularly wet winter this year, and sometimes our little friends need a bit of help.”

Wellbeing Coach Emilia Turner said: “Everyone always feels a little bit better after spending time outdoors.

“Fresh air is good for our health and general wellbeing and spending time outdoors in garden grounds is as important as our weekly walks to the community.

“Nature is a great healer, and spending time outdoors has so many positive impacts. It helps decrease our anxiety levels and can certainly lessen our stress load.

“Being outside also keeps us moving, and exercise, even a little helps us all.”
