Everyone’s imaginations went wild when home mixologist Gail Bessent began conjuring up some amazing cocktails and mocktails at Cofton Park Manor.
Residents and staff celebrated National Cocktail Day by creating their own delicious drinks and had fun naming them.
And the most popular turned out to have a taste of Cuba!
Resident Kathleen Postings, aged 90, said:
“The delicious taste of the mojito cocktail certainly made me think of my holidays in the sun with my family or just sitting in the garden chatting to friends. The day of cocktail mixing certainly brought back some of those wonderful times.”
Cofton Park Manor Community Relations Lead Wendy Sibley said:
“It’s a little dull outside so the idea of celebrating National Cocktail Day seems just right. We took a variety of ingredients, including gin, tonic, and pineapple, and asked people what kind of drink they would like. The most popular drink of the day was the mojito. We cannot wait to do it all again in the garden when the sun decides to shine.”
