National Cocktail Day stirred up happy memories for residents at Lovell Place Care Home who enjoyed a range of delicious drinks to celebrate the occasion.
Residents got together for the ‘sunshine’ afternoon as brilliant Lovell Place sous chef Steve prepared a selection of amazing cocktails and mocktails.
Resident Pamala Kneller said:
“What a fun way to spend the afternoon. My favourite cocktail was pina colada. It tasted like coconut and reminded me of relaxing on a tropical beach.”
Wellbeing Coach Selina Adams said:
“Residents enjoyed the luxury of their very own Lovell Place bar whilst Steve mixed up everything from a pina colada to South Side which everyone enjoyed. Both residents and staff were also busy sharing their recipes for favourite cocktails.
There was also a lot of reminiscing from residents about where they liked to go to drink & dance in years gone by. It was a lovely day, and we certainly made a lot of new happy memories.”
