Residents at Milngavie Manor couldn’t believe their eyes when two beautiful miniature ponies stepped into their home.
The incredibly cute Apollo and Daisy thrilled everyone when they turned up and greeted residents with love and friendliness.
The gorgeous pair from Lunar Eclipse & Hoofgang Experience spent the afternoon at Milngavie Manor Care Home.
Resident Moira said:
“You never expect to see ponies inside the home, and I almost fell off my chair when I saw them walk in! What a wonderful surprise.”
Wellbeing Coach Morag Scott added:
“The visit was a little unexpected, and as soon as resident saw the ponies, the smiles were in abundance.”
The ponies were brought along by Cherene Robertson from Lunar Eclipse, who takes the ponies into care homes, hospitals and schools and believes that building a relationship with horses can improve people’s mental health and well-being.
Morag added:
“Apollo and Daisy were the most wonderful guests and so well behaved.
“A huge thanks to Cherene and her volunteers for bringing them to see us and getting everyone laughing and talking.
“We do hope they all come back to visit us soon.”
