Messages Of Love Bring Life To Edwalton’s Valentine Tree

image

Creative residents at Edwalton Manor Care Home have created a beautiful tree of love in celebration of Valentine’s Day.

As the world marks the special day of love, residents and staff were keen to share their own special messages with friends and family.

They each wrote a few words on heart-shaped cards and placed them on their tree, which sits in pride of place in the bustling bistro area of the home.

Resident Eileen, aged 90, said:

“It’s important to take time to remember those we love and think about those we care for. If we practice love, not war, the world would be a better place.”

Making Valentine's wishes

Edwalton Wellbeing Coach Alice Kirkby said:

“Our messages reflect how we feel about those we love and have loved. The messages say a lot about how we feel about love. It has been a lovely Valentines activity, and the tree is so interesting as well as being pretty. It has been lovely to see all the nice messages both too and from the staff showing appreciation for each other in our homely community.”
