Joyce is thrilled that great-great-great-granddaughter Willow means there are now five generations of girls in the family, including her daughter Rosemary, granddaughter Sarah and great-granddaughter Beth.
Indeed, it is quite rare for people to have a great great grandchild and the Guinness Record for most living generations is seven generations.
Suffolk-born Joyce has three daughters, Rosemary, Helen and Mirian, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and now great great granddaughter, Willow.
Delighted Joyce, who once worked as a telephonist, met her husband Tom in Norwich in 1951, and the besotted couple married in 1952.
Although they spent their first years living in Suffolk, they later moved to Edgeware in London for Tom’s work.
Today Joyce and her family are always in touch, especially since her daughters bought Joyce an iPad, which she uses regularly for video calls with her growing family.
Joyce moved to Caddington Grove in August 2023, where she is a regular host to her friends and family.
