Valerie Hanson, Head of Quality Excellence
Valerie is our Head of Quality Excellence at Hamberley since March 2019 and has a proven track record of improving Quality and maintaining efficient Governance Frameworks within Private and Public Sector environments.
In addition to being Head of Quality Excellence, Valerie is also the Data Protection Lead Officer for the Group and is responsible for our internal day-to-day Data Protection compliance regime, GDPR requirements and is our link with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO). She was awarded the BCS Foundation Certificate in Data Protection in 2019.
Having a solid understanding of Continuous Quality Improvement with regards to the CQC and Regulatory Compliance requirements, Valerie assures that the best clinical, evidence-based practice is delivered.
Having first qualified as an adult nurse in 1996 at Kings College London, she returned there again three years later and graduated with a dual-qualification BSc (Hons) in District Nursing and Health Visiting in 1999. Valerie also gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Advancing Professional Healthcare Practice in 2006, and a Masters Degree in Management in 2010, from London Southbank University. Valerie has been a Prince 2 Project Management Practitioner since 2007.
Valerie has worked as an Interim Management Consultant for around 10 years and has considerable experience in the Acute, Community, and both Private and Public settings across the healthcare landscape. She has also worked within several Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) across the UK and her many roles have included, Quality Assurance, Project Management, Operational Management, Service Improvement, and Service Management.
