Romantic couple Tony Wade and Shirley Cox were given VIP treatment for Valentine's Day when they celebrated the annual festival at Caddington Grove.
The lovestruck couple, who met in 2004, enjoyed a spectacular meal prepared by Home Chef.
Tony and Shirley, both aged 89, were introduced to one another more than twenty years ago by Tony’s brother-in-law, Barry.
Although the couple insist they were not looking for love at the time having sadly both lost their partners – they became travelling companions enjoying each other’s company as they toured the globe.
Former car engineer Tony shared the secret to the couple’s strong relationship and happiness. He said: “I think always being there for one another is very important.”
Tony’s daughter Michelle is a regular visitor to Caddington Grove and said the couple were always so comfortable with one another.
Former school chef Shirley lived in Bedford when the couple first met, whilst Tony resided in Caddington. They eventually moved into a house in Luton together and have not looked back since.
Shirley moved to Caddington Grove in February 2024.
