Volunteers, young people and families at a Nottingham charity were treated to an amazing spa and pamper day at the luxurious Edwalton Manor Care Home.
The kind-hearted team invited the group from Footprints Conducive Education Centre into their friendly home for a full day of treats, including hair makeovers, nail pampering, and massages.
The home team were excited to host those connected with Footprints, including young people, families who use the service and carers and staff.
Head of Income at the charity, Josie Park, said: "We want to say the biggest thank you from all of us for an incredibly lovely day today.
"It's so very appreciated, and we all had the best time. I've already had lots of happy messages from our families and volunteers to pass on their thanks and to say what an amazing afternoon! They had such a wonderful time and came out feeling super refreshed."
And it wasn't just the adults that had all the fun – some families brought along children to enjoy the spa day. The Edwalton Manor team laid out a range of games for the children to play and some wonderful edible treats.
Edwalton Manor Assistant Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach Isabelle Thompson said: "We loved opening the salon and spa up, especially for the Footprints group, and it was wonderful to be able to see the families, young people and volunteers enjoy themselves.
"Footprints do incredible work, and sometimes it's nice for others to say thanks.
"It's all part of our community outreach and we're pleased we could make others feel good for the day."
Edwalton Manor has forged strong links with the charity and fundraised for their work in the past. The Nottingham-based charity helps transform the lives of children living with mobility and communication difficulties across the East Midlands. Staff and volunteers support babies, and children develop the skills they need to fulfil their potential.
