The new year has got off to a super healthy start for residents at Edwalton Manor, thanks to ‘Juice Up January Day.’
The ultra-healthy day has been hailed a huge success by residents who enjoyed a range of healthy refreshments, thanks to the team at Edwalton Manor.
Resident Mavis, aged 93, said: “I love the fruit, so yummy and good for you.”
To add to the healthy fun, team members Anita Babu, Joyce Hanson, and Paula Stapleton-Green dressed up as life-sized fruit, bringing laughter to the day.
Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coordinator Alice Kirkby said: “There is no better time than the new year to get everyone thinking about their health after an indulgent festive period.
“Our Juice Up January Day was the perfect opportunity to share healthy tips, encourage new tastes as well as making everyone smile and laugh.
“Whilst vegetables and fruit are a super source of vitamins and minerals and supply important dietary fibre, laughing is good for the soul. It helps reduce stress, improves our immune systems, and promotes muscle relaxation.
“What a great start to the new year!”
