An amazing romantic meal and a day of kindness delighted residents as well as the team at Cofton Park Manor.
The team at the friendly home went over the top with Valentines this year – not only making residents feel extra special but also going out into their community to spread the love.
Community Relations Manager Wendy Sibley and Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach Gail Bessent decided to spend some of their Valentine's Day at Longbridge Retail Park, where they stepped up their Acts of Kindness campaign.
They handed out some fantastic homemade cakes – all lovingly backed by Cofton Park Manor's catering assistant Cassie James.
Wendy said: "We could not wait to get out and show our appreciation for our local community - it was wonderful to see the smiles on people's faces.
"Cassie's cakes were beautiful."
And to make the day extra special for residents, the busy team decided to turn their luxury bistro into a romantic restaurant for four resident sweethearts.
Home Chef Mark Barrett served up a delicious three-course meal with a drink of choice with flowers and chocolate in abundance.
As they sat down to enjoy the whole experience, couple Sue and Phil Grantham said they were 'over the moon' with the lovely day.
During the day, the couples also enjoyed entertainment from local singer Barry Jukes, who performed songs from the heart.
Couple Margaret and Ron Bearman, who both live at Cofton Park Manor, have been married for 66 years.
They took the time to talk about the secret to their happy marriage. They said it was always to listen to one another. They added it also helps that they share the same taste in music!
