Cofton Park Manor goes rock 'n roll for 2nd birthday celebrations

A thrilling combination of Tina Turner and Elvis classics brought everyone together in for a rockin’ good time at Cofton Park Manor when residents and the team celebrated the home’s second birthday.

Cofton Park Manor regular entertainer Debbie Mills belted out the songs, enthralling everyone with her high notes and rhythm.

The home’s brilliant entertainment catering assistant Cassie James baked an amazing celebratory cake, which went down a hit, whilst Home Chef Marc Barrett produced an incredible buffet, which was enjoyed with a glass or two of Bucks Fizz.

Community Relations Lead Wendy Sibley said: “What better way to celebrate a birthday than to have old favourites played, enjoyed along with some great refreshments.

“We all loved it and some of our residents even took to the microphone to show off their vocal skills.

“We proved that here at Cofton Park Manor, we certainly love a good party.”

Cofton Park Manor opened on January 18, 2023, welcoming three residents, Alan Rainey, Keith Marsden and Jill Bretherton – all still living in the friendly home.

Wendy added: “Over the years, our team have gone above and beyond.

“We have made arrangements for Keith to sing with ‘Elvis,’ for Alan to go around his former regular golf club, and for Jill to continue her weekly flower arranging activities.

“We have created lots of wonderful memories along the way, meeting new friends and enjoying so many activities and community events.

“We cannot wait to create another great year.”
