Nesbit House residents have a terror-ific time for Halloween

Cute trick-or-treaters were given a spirited welcome when they stopped by Nesbit House Care Home to celebrate Halloween.

Residents joined the fun by dressing up and handing out boxfuls of goodies when the trick-or-treaters came to the door.

Wellbeing Lead Iestyn Gadd said: “It was wonderful to see the incredible variety of costumes at the door. The make-up was spectacular, with lots of unique costumes ranging from inflatable, prosthetic and even light up ones.

“Luckily, we were very well prepared at Nesbit House although some of the trick-or-treaters were too cute to spook, they were very sweet.

“People didn’t expect us to be quite as prepared as we were with our own costumes and all the treats, and it will certainly give them ‘pumpkin’ to think about for some time!”

Resident Pam added: “We had a lot of fun and were pleased to hand out the treats. Some of the costumes really made me jump!”

Fellow resident Jo, who is registered blind, added: “Hearing all the children enjoying themselves was so lovely to hear. The cherry on top of a wonderful evening was getting to meet the newborn, who I was told was dressed as a little pumpkin.”

Resident John said: “They seemed to arrive in fours and were well organised. The children seem to enjoy it a lot, and my daughter liked seeing the pictures of the whole event.”
