Halloween was a family affair at Meryton Place this year as two residents saw four generations of their family getting together for a colourful pumpkin event at their home.
Residents Joyce Thomas, aged 84, and Brenda Beavan, aged 88, are part of the same family thanks to the marriage of Joyce’s daughter Jayne to Brenda’s son Dave.
Between them, the women share grandchildren and great-grandchildren, so four generations of the family got together for the spooky fun.
Joyce said: “It was a wonderful and enjoyable afternoon with four generations coming together.
“Also, my daughter Jayne had never carved a pumpkin before!”
Jayne said: “It was such a lovely day. The ‘mums’ really enjoyed watching and helping the great-grandchildren, and the children loved carving the pumpkins. They have them all outside of their front doors.
“Meryton Place always has such lovely things for us all to do together, and we had a fantastic day all spent together.”
Meryton Place Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach Gemma Crow added: “It’s wonderful to see families come along to our events. It always fills the home with love and laughter, just as a home should be.”
