Creativity is thriving at Lovell Place thanks to a series of community art sessions.

Residents at Lovell Place Care Home hosted the new group aimed at encouraging women to show off their flair – with a chance of their work being featured in an exhibition in Bristol.

So far there have been three Creative Workshops and each one has explored the issue of women and aging. The sessions are run by Brabazon Community Development which aims to bring the community together.

Regional Community Relations Lead Sarah Jacka said:

“We are delighted to have been able to host this group and we hope many women have benefited, able to be creative and enjoy great conversation at the same time.”

The residents’ work will be exhibited at the Kit Form Gallery in Stokes Croft, Bristol between 24 and 26 May at 11am – 6pm.

Wellbeing Coach Selina Adams said the sessions had worked so well with Brabazon they are thinking of doing them again.
