Devoted 92-year-olds Ronald and Margaret Bearman have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary at their Bromsgrove care home.
The delighted couple marked the very special day with the team at Cofton Park Manor Care Home, where they were treated to their favourite fish dinner as well as a table full of chocolates, bubbly and beer for Ronald!
Romantic Ronald bought Margaret a dozen red roses on the day as they enjoyed the surprise meal in a private dining suite at their Lickey Road home.
Margaret said: "It was a total surprise and all very romantic. It's wonderful that we could celebrate with the lovely team here and just enjoy this special moment."
The couple, who were married in 1958 at St Mary's Church, Selly Oak, say the secret of their happy marriage is 'always being there for one another.'
Retired accountant Ronald added: "It's been important for us to share common interests and work at our communication. We've had a fabulous marriage, and we continue to enjoy each other's company, sharing our stories and laughing."
The couple, who have one son, have always enjoyed climbing and walking together all around the UK.
The couple met when Ronald was completing an audit at an office supply where Margaret was working as a payroll clerk. After a few years of dating, Ronald proposed to Margaret when they were on holiday in Scarborough in the summer of 1956.
Ronald said he was 'over the moon' that Margaret said 'yes' and couldn't wait to marry in the same church where he sang in the choir.
After marrying the couple settled to live in Bromsgrove, where they raised their son.
