Ninety-five-year Joyce Felton felt on top of the world when a luxury hair and make-up artist visited Meryton Place leaving the nonagenarian feeling super glamourous.
Joyce turned out to be the perfect model for luxury visiting stylist Lauren Jamie – proving you’re never too old to pout!
Talented Lauren used Joyce to demonstrate the very best way to apply make up as well as to style hair. And it left Joyce feeling great and looking stunning.
Joyce said: “I couldn’t believe it, I felt so good and when I was all made up, I felt like a celebrity!”
After the session Joyce was among the residents who had her portrait photograph taken in a special studio area set up by the team at Meryton Place.
Joyce added that the activity was particularly welcome, particularly as she has recently suffered some toothache.
The glamourous Joyce was joined by fellow residents May Owen, aged 97, and Marjorie Vile, aged 89, who were also given a lovely new look thanks to a touch of beautifully applied make-up.
Other residents including centenarian Peggy Coleman, Margaret Carter, aged 84, Val Cheshire, aged 86, Janet Bryant aged 96 and Pat Simmons aged 92, all enjoyed watching and asking Lauren lots of questions.
Meryton Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach Gemma Crow said: “It was lovely to have Lauren here for the morning to talk about some very simple ways we can make ourselves feel good.
“Just a simple bit of make-up and a different hairstyle can leave you feeling great. Everyone loved picking up some very useful tips and we hope to see Lauren again soon.
“Lauren certainly brought the ‘feel-good’ factor into the home.”
