I joined Hamberley in June 2023, in my current role as Group Sales Manager.
I’ve always admired the Hamberley brand; my personal principles align with their values and I love the ‘Homemaker’ concept, which I believe offers us the opportunity to deliver a unique relationship-centred model of care.
I’ve worked in the care industry since 2016, starting out with Anchor and then Signature.
This is a tough one, there have been many challenges that I have faced professionally on a personal level however nothing as difficult as the pandemic!
Believe in yourself first and foremost, never be afraid to seek out new experiences and embrace new challenges – you need to push yourself and have the courage to step out of your comfort zone. Empower other women in the workplace and network network network!
In my view to be a good leader it is important to be able to demonstrate integrity, have good communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire others.
A truly adept leader possesses the talent for recognising and nurturing the potential of each team member, empowering them to unleash their creativity and drive towards common goals. Whether through leading by example, offering encouragement in times of adversity, or instilling a shared sense of purpose, effective leaders have the power to ignite a spark of inspiration that propels their team to surpass expectations and achieve greatness.
In essence, the journey towards becoming a remarkable leader entails a multifaceted commitment to integrity, communication excellence, and the art of inspiration. By embodying these qualities, leaders not only steer their teams towards success but also cultivate a legacy of positive influence and lasting impact.
I have been lucky in my career to have worked with some incredible and inspiring female leaders, and I’d like to think I take a part of them with me into every role. On a personal level, my daughter is my biggest hero and inspires me to be a better person every day with her courage and tenacity.
I believe it's incredibly important to deliberately allocate downtime for yourself, as it serves as a cornerstone for maintaining a healthy work-life balance. By consciously having moments for relaxation and personal reflection, we not only safeguard our mental and physical well-being but also cultivate stronger connections with our family and loved ones. Prioritising these periods of respite amongst our busy schedules not only rejuvenates our spirits but also reinforces the bonds that tie us together, fostering deeper and more meaningful relationships. Therefore, making a concerted effort to set aside dedicated time for both family and self-care not only enriches our lives but also ensures that we honor the relationships and values that matter most to us.
