Happy First Birthday To Brookwater House

More than 100 people came out to celebrate the first birthday of Brookwater House Care Home.

The luxury home in Enfield was opened last year by the Deputy Mayor of Enfield, Councillor Mohammad Islam.

To celebrate the special first anniversary, residents and staff invited the community to the home to enjoy a range of refreshments and activities, including face painting.

The day coincided with Care Home Open Week and provided a wonderful opportunity to showcase Brookwater House's amazing work.

Resident June Ludlam said:

“Everyone is very warm and friendly here at Brookwater House and I am so delighted to live here amongst so many friends.

“It’s also a lovely home for my family and friends to visit. Of course, it was wonderful to have so many friendly guests here to celebrate our first birthday.”

Customer Relations Manager Amba Shaw said:

“We have such a happy home here at Brookwater, and of course, we wanted to make our birthday special.

“Some residents who had moved away came back to visit, especially for our birthday party, so it was a wonderful reunion, too.”

A big hit on the day was songs from ABBA tribute band, who belted out Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen and I have a Dream.

Everyone tucked into a delicious array of amazing food, including a BBQ, whilst children were delighted when a local ice cream parked up.
