There’s nothing like a spot of shopping to take away the gloom of a grey autumn day, especially when you’re with friends.
Residents at Verwood House took a trip to nearby CastlePoint which is one of the largest shopping centres in the UK with more than 35 stores.
Verwood House residents Anne and Margaret had great fun perusing the clothing aisles, whilst Betty couldn’t get enough of the make-up and skin care ranges.
It all looked so tempting!
Margaret said: “It was such a fun experience, I loved looking at the beautiful dresses and jackets.’’
Betty added: “There is a lot to see and it’s all very tempting, but I don’t think any of us wanted to spend any pennies, we will definitely visit again.”
The trip was organised by Verwood House Wellbeing Coach Emilia Turner who always enjoys a spot of shopping herself.
Emilia added: “Shopping can be such a sociable activity, and you don’t have to spend a lot, although it can be hard to resist.
“We had a lovely day and were joined by some of our residents’ friends, so the more the merrier and our step count certainly grew as we worked our way around all the goodies!”
And with Christmas just around the corner, the residents cannot wait to return to the Strouden Park shopping centre with friends.
