Creative Energy Gets Flowing At Cambridge Grove Care Home

image

Cambridge Grove Care HomeExotic bouquets blossomed at Cambridge Grove Care Home when Creative Mojo visited and helped residents get their creative juices flowing.

Jenni Tilbrook from Creative Mojo spent the afternoon working with residents, encouraging everyone to splash out on the colour.

Resident Mary, aged 84, said:

“It was a lovely afternoon, and it was so wonderful to see so many residents and staff join in together.”

Fellow resident Barbara, aged 89, said:

“I’m not very good at art but this was fun and nice and easy. The flowers all together look great.”

Jenni, who brought a whole array of materials with her, was visiting Cambridge Grove for the first time but hopes to return soon.

She said:

“They were such a lovely group of people and probably one of the most capable I have had the pleasure of working with.”

Wellbeing Coach Amy Milburn said:

“It was amazing as we watched everyone become very creative, even those who may have lacked confidence in their artistic skills.

“We used pearly paints to decorate some pre-cut flowers. Once they had dried, Jenni stuck a wooden skewer onto the back and inserted into an oasis inside a flower bouquet box to create a stunning display.

“We used the remaining flowers to decorate around the desk area in our bistro. Everyone had such a wonderful session. Thank you to Jenni!”
