Verwood House residents had a ‘spark-tacular’ night when they took to the garden to enjoy an evening of light entertainment.
Residents were joined by family and friends to celebrate the traditions of bonfire night and the start of autumn.
The evening included plenty of delicious refreshments of cheese and wine as well as the beautiful sparklers which everyone had fun lighting up. Fireworks were avoided because the home backs on to stunning countryside.
Resident Margaret P said: “I've never seen such beautiful sparklers.”
Fellow resident Margaret W said: ''Fireworks can be very loud, but sparklers were just right for us here. I have enjoyed spending time with everyone and had a glass of Baileys.”
The evening was further brightened thanks to party music and a fantastic range of refreshments.
Wellbeing Coach Emilia Turner said: “We had a wonderful time of lighting up the evening with sparkles.
“It was so nice to get everyone together to celebrate and it certainly distracted us from the darker nights and chillier weather.”
