Sweet-toothed residents at Cambridge Grove couldn’t believe their eyes when an amazing spread of treats appeared to help celebrate International Chocolate Day.
The incredible chocolate fountain had everyone indulging in the most delicious tastes as they dipped all sorts of sweet treats in the melted delight including banana, strawberries, biscuits and marshmallows.
Delighted resident Jean Hiner, aged 91, said: “I couldn’t decide what to have, there was lots of things to choose from, so I had one of each!”
Fellow Cambridge Grove resident Gino Rossi, aged 87, added: “Oooo, chocolate – I love chocolate – what a wonderful treat.”
Wellbeing Coach Amy Milburn said: “There were certainly lots of sticky fingers by the end, but everyone enjoyed the treat and said it was a fun afternoon.
“I can certainly see how easily it would be to become a chocoholic!”
International Chocolate Day is designed to get people thinking about the history of chocolate as well as all the different cultures involved in making it.
And at Cambridge Grove everyone agreed that International Chocolate Day is definitely worth the celebration and cannot wait for next year’s event.
