At Hamberley Care Homes, we believe in the power of community and inclusion, and today was a perfect reflection of that spirit at Lovell Place!
It was a vibrant and busy morning as our Bristol care home team hosted two special events—the kick off of National Inclusion Week and our very own Macmillan Coffee Morning. The energy and excitement could be felt throughout the day as our team, residents and guests came together for a common cause.
National Inclusion Week at Lovell Place
As National Inclusion Week begins, organisations across the country are uniting to celebrate diversity, inclusivity, and belonging, and to mark the start of this important week at Lovell Place, our talented chef created something special—delicious cupcakes, each topped with a miniature flag from countries around the world. These colourful treats weren’t just eye-catching; they represented our commitment to celebrating the rich diversity that makes our community so unique.
Supporting a worthy cause
While we celebrated inclusion, we also embraced the opportunity to support a cause that’s close to our hearts—Macmillan Cancer Support. As part of the nationwide Macmillan Coffee Morning initiative, we opened our doors to raise vital funds for this important charity, which provides life-changing services to those affected by cancer.
From coffee to cakes, every sip and bite went towards making a difference, and it was heartwarming to see the Lovell Place community come together—not only to celebrate diversity but to give generously for such a meaningful cause. The funds raised during the morning will go a long way in helping Macmillan continue their invaluable work.
