You can count on good friends at Chawley Grove

Doreen and Millie built a special friendship when they spent five months living at Chawley Grove at the same time, and although Doreen has now moved on, her dear friend Millie still lives at the Oxford home.

They met up for lunch in Wootton to catch up on each other’s news.

Millie said: “I have made some wonderful friends at Chawley Grove, and Doreen and I instantly hit it off when we first met. We always have so much to talk about, and we often find ourselves laughing together.”

Chawley Grove has a whole range of activities to encourage friendships and help people forge strong bonds.

At Chawley Grove, Doreen and Millie enjoyed joining in the crafting of making cards, listening to guest performers as well as attending regular coffee mornings.

Megan Wilson, Chawley Grove Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach, said: “Sometimes it is easy to forget how important our friendships are, but a true friendship deserves to be nurtured and celebrated.

“It’s lovely to see Doreen and Millie continue their friendship, despite not living in the same home. Good friendships can help us feel loved and appreciated, and they help us stay strong.”

Megan organised the lunch for Millie and Doreen, who hope to meet regularly in the future.

Megan added: “We all need good friends, and the friendships made here at Chawley Grove are remarkable.”
