Residents and staff at Verwood House Care Home, Ringwood Road, opened their doors to the local community for the Easter egg hunt and were delighted to see so many people turn up.
Verwood Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach Emilia Turner said: “We all searched for eggs, played lots of special Easter games and held a colouring competition.
“It was wonderful to see the children so engaged and enjoying all the fun. Here at Verwood House, we pride ourselves on our strong sense of community which is why it’s lovely to invite people to our home.”
The home has also been busy hatching chicks and watching them grow. The activity has been done in conjunction with the Incredible Eggs company.
The company operates from small farms across the country and each farm is family run with experience in ethical farming. The company strives to make a positive environment and social impact.
Emilia added: “As much as we love having the chicks here, they will be going to live on a farm where they will have more space to grow.
“I am sure we will get updates as the farm is home to the family of a resident. So, they will be going off to live with alpacas, chickens among other animals.”
