The active group, accompanied by highly trained instructors, couldn’t wait to get out onto the water and try out all the different transport surrounded by the most beautiful scenery.
Castle Semple Loch stretches 1.5 miles long and is an inland freshwater loch at Lochwinnock.
Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach, Morag Scott, said: “It was a great day, and all the residents enjoyed the activities.
“It was certainly tiring, so to prepare, we stocked up on a wonderful lunch of soup and a sandwich whilst enjoying the stunning views.
“Everyone felt so happy in the fresh air as well as being so active. Of course, we wrapped it all up with a well-earned cuppa with some cake.”
For Milngavie resident Etta, the activity day brought back wonderful memories of Loch Lomond, where her family used to have a family boat and sail around the loch.
During the day, Etta enjoyed paddling the canoe and most loved just listening to the wonderfully relaxing sounds of the water.
Etta said: “It was wonderful to be out on the water again and enjoy such simple yet magical activities. We all had such fun.”
