Residents and staff at Lovell Place Care Home have been busy making the amazing decorations and deciding where to place them.
Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coach Selina Adams said: “It’s so calming having the time to sit down and make lovely things.
“Everyone said how much they’d enjoyed our Easter arts session, with many saying that they hadn’t done this sort of thing for a long time and had found it very therapeutic.”
Research has shown that getting involved in participatory arts can improve quality of life and well-being, from helping with better cognitive function, memory, and self-esteem to reduced stress and increased social interaction.
Selina added: “It was a busy Easter weekend with families visiting for our Easter egg hunt, so we really wanted to be prepared.”
Decorations included a giant Easter tree, beautiful egg wreaths and of course all the drawings and paintings the residents have made.
