Residents and staff at Upton Manor invited children from Ladybird’s Nursery for the intergenerational event which included wreath making and bauble decorating. And it all finished with some wonderful carolling.
Resident Heather Wyatt, aged 80, said: “It’s always a pleasure to have Ladybirds visit us; they always bring a smile to our faces!”
Fellow resident Rissa Needham, aged 91, added: “The children were so well behaved, as always, it was great helping them decorate a wreath to take home for their mums and dads.”
Upton Manor Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach Amy Morrison said: “The children made some beautiful wreaths and decorated their own baubles with the help of our residents to take home to their families.
“We also had the children sing us some lovely Christmas songs that they had been practising, which we absolutely loved!
“It was a truly memorable day, and we hope all the children and their families have a fantastic Christmas and New Year and we cannot wait to see them all next year.”
