Cy was awarded the Ancillary Worker Award for the South East region in 2022, and following on from this success, will now go on to the national finals.
During lockdown, Cy made the decision to move into Nesbit House to protect our residents, and then trained to be an award-winning Homemaker to provide additional support. Always going above and beyond his duties, Cy is an exceptionally caring person, dedicated to the care and support of our residents.
At the regional awards, the judges said: “Cy clearly has endless enthusiasm for supporting the residents, and it is clear to see he is caring and goes above and beyond to make the residents happy.
“His selflessness knows no bounds: the business is very lucky to have him!”
The Great British Care Awards is a series of regional events throughout the UK, and there are 21 award categories representing all areas of the social care sector.
The winner will be announced at the national finals tonight at a prestigious awards ceremony at the ICC in Birmingham.
