The amazing ducklings soon settled into life at Montague House, where they received plenty of care and love from the residents.
Montague House Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach Gabrielle Butler said the experience of having the eggs hatch was unforgettable.
She said: “Residents, our visitors and families were all completely in awe of the beautiful ducklings.
“We couldn’t stop looking at them, and they were also a fantastic way of bringing everyone together.”
Montague House resident Jean Bonnet said: “The ducklings have been a joy to watch, and I am delighted that they have a good home to go to.”
And Gabrielle added that one of the top moments was watching the ducklings have their very first swim.
She added: “They were actually very funny to watch, but they took to our little pool like a duck to water!”
Montague House worked with Incredible Eggs for the project. The company, which has seven branches across England and Scotland, is operated from four small farms which are family run. The company prides itself on being an ethical provider.
Incredible Eggs visited the home to provide the equipment, and once the ducklings had hatched, they were transferred from the incubator to the brooding unit where Montague residents and staff cared for them.
The Montague ducklings have gone back to live at the farm, where Incredible Eggs will find them a happy home.
Gabrielle said: “As much as all the staff and residents wanted to keep the ducks at Montague House, we thought it best for them all to go back to the farm where they are rehomed to trusted people who look after them.”
