Daily mocktails is the initiative of Verwood Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach Emilia Turner, who has been enjoying serving them up in the garden as the sun shines.
Emilia said: “I have started a mocktail trolley which I take around the home every day around 3pm, offer non-alcoholic mocktails to staff and residents.
“It's great for promoting nutrition and hydration and nice way of boosting the morale for residents and staff.”
Resident Dorothy, aged 92, said: “It is a lovely idea and perfect in sunny weather, we all enjoy social interaction in the garden with friends.”
The mocktails are made using a variety of ingredients which are shaken, stirred or blended. They are made with different fruit juices, soft drinks as well as iced tea.
Emilia added: “Mocktails are hydrating, non-addictive, inexpensive, and boast more nutrients than alcoholic drinks.
“They also won't impact decision making or sleep, so they are an enjoyable and refreshing drink which look so good too.”
