The joyful day at Meryton Place Care Home saw delighted residents invite children from nearby Snapdragons Nursery, Keynsham, to the event to share stories and memories.
The retro toys included spinning tops, a giant spring slinky, chatter telephone and a wonderful old Jack in the Box.
Meryton Place Regional Community Relations Lead Rosie Deakin said: “The children were interested in all the toys and fascinated by the stories too.
“These kinds of intergenerational activities benefit everyone; they teach us patience and help break down some misconceptions about another generation.”
Snapdragons Nursery is for children aged three months to five years old and is based in Ellsbridge House, Bath Road, Keynsham.
