Brian Woodcock from Kempston & District Model Railway Society was delighted to bring the intricate set into the home.
He was also able to share some handy tips on how to build a model railway from scratch and was also able to show pictures of other sets.
Resident Graham Langton said: “It was a great afternoon watching the trains, and I now wish had a set in my room!”
Fellow resident Margaret Carr shared a story of surprising her husband for his 60th birthday with a journey on the Flying Scotsman train.
Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach Oliver Waddington said: “Everyone enjoyed talking about the models and learning more about how it is all constructed.
“It’s a very relaxing activity.”
The Kempston & District Model Railway Society holds regular exhibitions and is happy to show a variety of model railway layouts.
There are a variety of layouts, scenery and trains for the miniature railway and club members find it a very creative activity being able to express themselves through the design and construction.
