Keith, aged 80, is a huge Elvis fan, so when he got a chance to post a wish on the home wish tree, he tried his luck.
Cofton Park Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach Gail Bessent said: “We did a bit of research, and we found Elvis, who was only living down the road, he was only too happy to come along and perform for us.
“We were all sat in the Bistro waiting, and we wanted to surprise Keith - who knew something was happening because there were lots of Elvis items in the bistro.
“The music started with Viva Las Vegas, and from round the corner came Elvis. Keith’s face was a picture.”
Keith has been a big fan of Elvis for many years. The King kicked off a musical revolution in 1954 by modernizing traditional genres such as blues, country and bluegrass for contemporary and younger audiences.
At Cofton Park, the magic was certainly brought alive. Keith, along with fellow residents and staff, were soon singing along – and Keith even got to perform a duet with the man himself.
Gail added: “Elvis was amazing, we all had so much fun, it was superb entertainment, and Keith was a very happy man."
