When professional singer Naomi Wilmott visited the home, she was given a very warm welcome from residents and staff who couldn’t wait to tune up.
Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coach Selina Adams said: “Naomi was wonderful, she is the perfect entertainer, and everyone loved singing along as well as reminiscing.”
Talented Naomi specialises in performing songs from the 50s and 60s as well as big band songs and ballads.
The gifted singer has also performed on television and radio, as well as appearing before Prince Charles at Clarence House.
During the amazing afternoon at Lovell Place, residents were also served a delicious tea – to keep their vocal cords in good shape.
Selina added: “Singing provides so many benefits to all of us, and most particularly, it can lift our spirits as well as increase our immunity.
“And not only can it provide a workout for our brain but our lungs also. This is all very important to all of us, particularly as we get older.”
At Lovell Place, Naomi’s music also inspired some members of staff as well as residents to get their dancing shoes on!
“We love our music here at Lovell Place, it brings us all together, creates some laughs and revives some happy memories.
“We do hope Naomi will come back and perform again.”
