ELSTOW RESIDENTS FIND THEIR CREATIVE MOJO

The workshop run by Creative Mojo will help innovative residents make one art display every month.

Elstow Manor Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coach Oliver Waddington said: “Getting creative is good for all of us.

“Research shows that activities such as art, dance, and music help improve our quality of life.

“As we grow older, it helps our cognitive function, memory and self-esteem. And we know that art can send you into your own wonderful world of magical creativity, reducing our stress and increasing how we interact with others.”

The company, Creative Mojo, has already worked with residents to create a King’s Coronation piece of art and, in May, made a Eurovision collage.

Oliver added: “This month, for June, we have been working on a yellow submarine and underwater scene, and this has included some references to Beatles music, which has been playing here at Elstow.

“We are very grateful to Joanne Goodrum from Creative Mojo, who has helped our residents to produce these wonderful and colourful displays.

“Joanne will be working with our residents once a month for the remainder of 2023 to create different display pieces.”

Creative Mojo provides and arts craft experience and works within the community as well as with people with a range of needs with workshops specially designed for the groups.
