The local band, called Verwood Concert Brass, entertained residents, families and staff when they took out their cornets and trombones.
The band played a range of Christmas carols as well as classical pieces.
Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach Emilia Turner said: “The band were amazing and to have more than 20 people playing an instrument live and in our home was just incredible.
“Everyone has said what a wonderful experience it was to hear the bright sounds of these instruments.
“The French horn was particularly beautiful and had everyone captivated.”
And after the incredible performance, the talented musicians sat down for tea with residents and staff.
Emilia added: “We would like to thank the Verwood Concert Brass for bringing the festive spirit to Verwood House.
“It brought everyone together and enjoying the occasion which has ushered in Christmas for all of us here at Verwood.”
Verwood Concert Brass was started in 1864 when it was known as Verwood Temperance Band. The name of the band became Verwood Prize Band in 1930 and the present name was adopted in 1976.
The band has performed at the National Brass Band Finals of Great Britain on six occasion and became a registered charity in November 2011.
