Residents and staff participated in a latte masterclass to learn how to make the popular beverage, resulting is tasty creamy textures and frothy milk that were coffee shop-level brilliant.
Resident Margaret Pearson, aged 89, said: “This is such a wonderful thing for us coffee lovers.”
Fellow resident Dorothy Manners, aged 93, said: “I liked the flavour of the pumpkin spice latte, it was nice for the autumn season.”
Verwood House’s Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach Emilia Turner that residents and staff enjoyed making the drinks which got everyone craving coffee treats.
She added: “This is just what we needed as the darker nights start to draw in and there is a chill in the air.
“We created lattes for staff and residents, they had choices of following syrups: Vanilla, pumpkin spice, salted caramel, gingerbread.”
