The Chawley Grove team invited the fantastic group for a thrilling show to celebrate the end of Carers Week, which is a national campaign to recognise the work that carers do.
And the evening of entertainment left residents, staff, family, friends and other guests delighted – and exhausted!
Regional Community Relations Lead Mark Laundy-McInnes said: “We all agreed it was one of the best nights ever, most of us were singing along and even dressed up in ABBA gear for the show.
“We haven’t done anything like this before, but we certainly hope to do more in the future.”
The group included Kelly (Agnetha) from Swindon, Emma (Frida) from Birmingham, Dave (Bjorn) from Swindon and Roger (Benny) from Marlborough.
Other songs played were all-time favourites, Dancing Queen, Knowing Me, Knowing You and Fernando.
National Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring and to recognise the role many unpair carers face working in communities throughout the country.
At Chawley Grove, carers were handed gifts from Hamberley Care Homes to say a big thank you for their remarkable work.
Mark added: “We are fortunate here at Chawley Grove Care Home to be able to work with and care for people in beautiful surroundings.
“However, it’s also important to think about those many people at home who don’t always get the recognition or support they require.”
