Cy collected the Ancillary Worker Award for the South East region and will now go on to the national finals.
The judges said: “Cy clearly has endless enthusiasm for supporting the residents, and it is clear to see he is caring and goes above and beyond to make the residents happy.
“His selflessness knows no bounds: the business is very lucky to have him!”
As well as recognising person centred care, the award is for those who demonstrate dignity and respect through ancillary services, always taking the initiative, having pride in their work as well as understanding how to treat each person as an individual.
Cy said: “I am delighted to have won this prestigious award. It’s a huge tribute to Nesbit House but also to all the residents and staff at the home.
“I always enjoy my job and never forget how fortunate I am to be able to work with such wonderful people. I have certainly made some wonderful friends through the home and thank everyone for their support too.”
