Chef Jamie Sikora went all out to bake a range of goodies as part of the National Dementia Awareness Raising event.
A victoria sponge, lemon drizzle and black forest cakes were the highlights of the day and helped raised £30 for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach Hannah Jean Doyle said: “We are delighted to be able to support such an important campaign.
“Dementia is something that can affect everyone differently, however, each type of dementia has some common symptoms and Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia.
“Our chef Jamie did a marvellous job of the cakes and the money raised will hopefully contribute to the mazing work of the Alzheimer’s Society.”
Dementia Action Week (from May 16 to May 22) is an awareness-raising campaign. This year’s campaign focuses on the theme of diagnosis.
