The energic group planned their route around the Plymouth home’s grounds so it was inclusive for as many residents as possible.
In the run-up to the walk, residents sought sponsorship to raise funds for people living with dementia in the UK.
Ernstell House Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach Rachel Stephenson said she was delighted with the support the event received and said everyone enjoyed the walk.
Rachel said: “It’s very important to us here to play a part in our community and to reach out to charity, and we all decided that Alzheimer’s Society needed some support.
“It was also a lovely way to spend our time. As we walked, we all talked, laughed, and shared stories, so it was a very sociable thing to do.”
The walkers managed to raise £40 for Alzheimer’s Society, and the money will be handed over later in the year.
