Charrington Knitters Know How To Natter – For A Good Cause

The industrious knitters are already working hard to create beautiful Christmas decorations and cards for the local Traditions Festival at nearby St John’s Church.

And all the cash raised from selling the items will go to charity.

Charrington’s Wellbeing and Lifestyle Coach Claudia Modiga said: “Everyone is really getting into the spirit of things.

“Some residents are knitting Christmas decorations, others are making Christmas cards, some are crafting Christmas trees, and others are painting.

“We are a creative bunch here at Charrington!”

The amazing work will be presented inside the church for four days at the beginning of December when everyone will be able to see the labour of all their hard work.

But it doesn’t stop there.

The busy residents are also baking a traditional Christmas cake that will be used in the guessing the weight competition.

“We will follow all the traditions and may even add a few coins for good luck!”

The generous Charrington residents are still deciding which charities will benefit from their work.
