Families flock to Chawley Grove care home in Oxfordshire for fun day launch

Chawley Grove care home, situated on Cumnor Hill, opened it's doors to the local community with free activities for young and older generations alike. 

Amongst a host of free activities for children, guests also enjoyed live music from Acoustic Jass Dixie Band, a hog roast, beer tasting from Hook Norton Brewery and wine tasting from Brightwell Vineyards.

Deirdre Cruden, who visited the new Oxfordshire care home said "very impressive - they've really thought of everything and you feel very much at home. Wonderful facilities and beautiful gardens; I've been to many care homes but Chawley Grove really is in a league of it's own"

Home Manager Theresa Whitford said she was delighted with the show of support from the local community. She said "Thank you so much to everyone who came along today to help us celebrate this special occasion. It's been fantastic to meet so many new families and it's wonderful to see young and old enjoying the day together. A huge thank you to all the local businesses that supported the day as well, you really helped the event go with a swing! If you couldn't make it today then we look forward to welcoming you to our new home in the future either at one of our next community events or just stop by to say hello, we'd love to see you"

Visitors also enjoyed a guided tour around the new luxury care home that features a wellbeing & beauty salon, a deluxe cinema, a private dining suite and an elegant café and bar for residents and their families to enjoy. 

Bob Nielson from Brightwell Vineyard said that the day was a great success. he said "we're delighted to have been able to support the launch of Chawley Grove and it's been wonderful to see so many friendly people here today. It's nice to see a community-minded company focussed on building long term relationships and we wish them every success"
