Chawley Grove care home, situated on Cumnor Hill welcomed The Vale of White Horse District Chairman Monica Lovatt to open the marketing suite on Tuesday 19th February at a special event.

Guests were given a tour of the marketing suite before enjoying a delicious high tea with canapes, finger sandwiches, scones and champagne.

Ms Lovatt said "The home is so warm and welcoming, such a homely feel." Of the Homemakers, she said "I love the unique approach to care that the home brings with its person centred care. It's a beautiful concept - caring for the whole person, truly holistic care with an innovative approach."

Opening this Spring, the 70-bed luxury home will feature a wellbeing and beauty salon, a deluxe cinema, a private dining suite and an elegant café and bar for residents and their families to enjoy.

The home's person centred approach ensures that residents also receive the highest standard of clinical care. Home Manager Theresa Whitford said "we're excited to finally show the Cumnor community what we have to offer - the home will have everything our residents need to live full and happy lives. We're working hard to create the wow-factor when you walk inside, and I think the public will be amazed by how beautifully designed and elegant our bedrooms are. There are misconceptions about what its like to live in a care home, but at Chawley Grove, our residents can have busy, fulfilled lives, knowing that if they need it, exceptional medical care is always at hand. Cumnor is a wonderful place to live, and we intend to make strong connections with the local community, welcoming them in and helping residents get out and about.
