Registered Care Home Manager

May Prentice

Registered Care Home Manager

May Prentice is the dedicated Home Manager at Milngavie Manor. A Registered Mental Health Nurse, May has over 25 years experience in Health & Social Care in various capacities, from nursing to a Head of Operations roles across both Scotland and Yorkshire. Previously at Bield Housing Association, she advanced from Unit Manager to General Manager. As a Regional Manager, she championed improvements in six Scottish care homes, improving Care Inspectorate grades and quality. Based in Scotland, outside of work May enjoys regular holidays to sun-soaked destinations.

If you are looking for the right care home for you or your loved one, Thomas is here to help you navigate that important next step.

Having joined the team at Milngavie Manor in Spring 2024, Thomas brings a wealth of knowledge in care and customer experience to his role. He grew up close to Glasgow and recently returned after 20 years of living and working in the South East of England. As your first port of call, you can rely on Thomas for support and logistical help as you embark on the journey of finding the right care. Providing support and an exceptional level of service is high on Thomas’ list of priorities, along with making time to get to know new residents and their loved ones. Outside of work, Thomas enjoys dog walks in the countryside and spending time with his family and friends, though the majority of his spare time is spent looking after his three horses, who have also relocated to Scotland with him.
