I always had a passion for learning new things and found myself attracted to the selfless idea of helping and working for and with people. I enjoyed my school years and opted to qualify as a nurse with the strong intention to make a difference in the life of people in need.

I am an enthusiastic person, optimistic with empathy and a calm character keen to develop my skills in the management nursing area. In 18 years of nursing, I have gained experience in good practice and how to manage other members of staff and how to support residents who may or may not have the mental capacity to look after themselves. I have learned how to gain respect from my other colleagues (doctors, managers, nurses, pharmacy team, health carers, and social workers).

I have been exposed to various challenges performing many roles in the care home industry and I consider myself as being a very dynamic and highly adaptable individual with an acute critical view of my own performance and with a strive to achieve the best possible quality outcomes. I am a strong believer in the importance of reputation and pride myself on achieving all the quality and financial performance targets.

I joined Alston House Care home on the 1st of July 2022 to be part of commissioning the home. I was very excited to become part of the family and also to be a part of a company that truly believes in providing high-quality-centred care and implementing the homemaker model. I am extremely honoured and privileged to be given this opportunity. We have a great team. Together, we enable residents to be who they are as individuals and provide peace of mind to families by ensuring everyone is treated with the utmost respect and dignity.
