We aim to be the best care home in East Sussex, and have spent a long time creating a community of residents here who have real, genuine connections with each other, as well as their neighbours in the local area.
The beautiful scenery, relaxed lifestyle and access to the coast at Eastbourne makes Hailsham a truly idyllic location. Whatever you need to live the life that you want, you'll find it at Abbots Wood Manor.
Abbots Wood Manor lies on the Cuckoo Trail, an old train route pathway which is a wonderful place for walking and enjoying the fresh air. We regularly enjoy outings to local attractions as part of our activities programme, including visits to Hillier Garden Centre for lunch, trips to the coast at Birling Gap to enjoy the views of the lighthouse with an ice cream and shopping trips to Bexhill and Eastbourne.
The weekend Farmer's Market on the cattle auction site is a favourite destination. We are proud members of the local community of Hailsham, always delighted to get involved in events and activities in the area such as the Lord Mayor's Concert in the church grounds, and every few months, the vicar from Hellingly Parish visits for a service.

Every week, the Head Chef runs a baking afternoon - carrot cake is a firm favourite - and we welcome performers, speakers and visitors to entertain the residents. We host monthly Dementia Cafes and Parkinson's groups, open to members of the local community, carers and our residents.
